+ We need to lock tokens on the original chain and mint mapped tokens on the target chain.
+ when you need to transfer back your tokens, mapped tokens need to be burned, and lock tokens on the original chain can be unlocked.
+ So, to remove the middlemen when doing cross-chain asset transfer, we are facing 2 major challenges:
- 1.how to control the lock and unlock in a trustless way
- 2.how to verify the cross-chain transaction in a trustless way
Darwinia has made a real difference in solving these challenges
from trust-relied to truth-based:
Essentially, our tech innovation upgraded the classic chain relay solution.
Classic chain relay requires relaying each and every block, which is not economically feasible.
Darwinia ChainRelay is a super-light client, it integrates cryptography technology MMR to make each confirmed block header aware of the history chain state.

“Why Darwinia was born? What are the advantages and disadvantages Darwinia encountered during its development? What is the roadmap of Darwinia in 2022
Bree Yin: We are trying to bring the next paradigm shift of cross-chain bridges by building completely decentralized bridges.
Let’s look at the cross-chain bridges landscape, hash time lock, custodian model, and collateral-based solutions. Custodial bridges are mostly implemented.
However, think about that:
When we need to call our friends out, we go to Facebook, a centralized institution to pass messages to our friends.
This is not the way the world was meant to be
Blockchain, on one single chain, Bitcoin, and Ethereum, this old trust-based order has been obsoleted.
But when it comes to cross-chain interoperablity，largely relying on custodial bridges, everything seems to go back to the start point.
So we are facing the question: Fighting or Creating？
Buckminster Fuller once said: You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.
Now, some Custodial bridges are distributing middlemen, claiming to become decentralized, but the distribution doesn’t mean decentralization.
It’s still fighting the old but not creating a new one! Polkadot Founder Dr.Gavin also said: The most expensive asset would be the trust.
Obviously, now we see that the trust cost of these Custodial bridges is extremely high!
Therefore, Darwinia is building decentralized bridges.
That‘s why we are building Web3.0 bridges.

Justin: Community is very important for the development and spread of projects. In which markets does Darwinia plan to build communities? Will Darwinia have any campaigns to attract the community in the near future? How does Darwinia evaluate the Vietnamese market?
Bree Yin: Ambassador Program
We have received about 236 ambassador applications from the global community since launching the Darwinia Ambassador Program in September 2020. Up to now, 50 ambassadors from 15 counties have joined the Darwinia team after applying for application, email interview, and completion of the specific task.
The ambassadors spontaneously formed a community guard team, have been building buzz and educating users on social media platforms in various communities to help more people understand the Darwinia Network.
In the past three months, Darwinia ambassadors have completed no less than 400 tasks in these four categories: content creation, community building, online activities, and technical support.
